Abstract:In this paper, Cu-Al alloy powders and polyester were used as raw materials, and then the binder was
added. Mechanical aggregate composite process has been adopted to prepare the aluminum bronze polyester
(CuAl-PHB) composite powder. The CuAl-PHB coatings prepared by atmospheric plasma spraying (APS) were
uniform. The ratio of polyester and porosity was 45.3%. The coating hardness was 56.3 HR15Y; the bonding
strength was 6.9 MPa, which exhibited excellent thermal shock resistance at 650℃ . The appearance of the coating
reached grade 4 in 96 h room temperature neutral salt spray test. The coatings can meet the requirements of aeroengine seal coating for air-path clearance control.
