Abstract:In order to prolong the service life of parts and reduce the loss of materials and energy, hard coatings
are applied to sandblasting erosion wear environments. This paper introduces the harm of sandblasting erosion
wear and the application of hard coatings against sandblasting erosion wear. The influence of mechanical
properties for hard coatings, matrix properties, particle properties and particle sandblasting process parameters
on sand blasting erosion wear were reviewed, respectively. The research of dynamic simulation and impact test
of sandblasting erosion is summarized. It is pointed out that the hardness and toughness of coatings and the
matching of substrate and coating properties are beneficial to improve the resistance of coatings to sand blasting
erosion wear. The prospect of the impact wear mechanism models of various hard coatings against sandblasting is
expected by combining digital simulation with experimental verification
