In this paper, porous YSZ coatings with porosity of 14.03%~28.22% were prepared by high-energy
plasma spraying. The effects of spraying process parameters on the porosity and basic properties of coatings
were studied. The results showed that the hardness and bonding strength of the coating decreased with the
increase of porosity. The hardness was 92.4 at porosity of 14.03%, which decreased to 84.2 at porosity of
26.04%, and the strength was reduced from 9.62 MPa to 5.03 Mpa. The number of thermal shock resistance
of the coating at 1060 ℃ showed a trend of first increasing significantly and then decreasing. When the porosity
was 26.04%, the coating remained intact after 464 times water-cooled and thermal shocks, and exhibited well
thermal shock resistance. |
